Ha! I see folks are leaving this subject alone. What does that tell you?
Maybe the coupon lady could prorate to hubby, for example: Coupons save $6/ wk, times 52 weeks is $312, maybe the price of that chain saw he’s been wanting.
My daught is tops at saving. Frequents estate and rummage sales. Grocery shops on double coupon days; $100 worth, she pays maybe $26. She once cruised the alleys of the rich folks and found a whole bedroom set in perfect condition (My friends and I would do that every spring and find brand new chairs, linens, all kinds of stuff.).
Saving? First you have to get the mind set to do it. I swear, if you make minimum wage you can stash $1/week. Vow not to touch it. IT CAN BE DONE. When you get $25, you’ll want to see $50, then you’ll lust to make it $100 and so on.
Budget: Again, prorate. Whatever you buy regularly, see what it cost for a year, ex: A $3 coffee every workday is $15/week, times 52 weeks is $780. That could be half of a spiffy vacation.
Nobody needs so many damn THINGS!
