…Because dreams really do come true!
The reason you love your best friend has a lot to do with back-story; you don’t have to start over again. You just start talking and they know the hows and whys. Well, prepare to meet another really great friend. Me. I’m about to give you Ella Rucker and the unabridged version of how I went from Wall Street to Walt Disney while taking a wild ride on the welfare local…

I teased you a few days ago, promising to let you know all about the amazing eats on The Disney Fantasy. Well that time has come at last. When Team GEM boarded the ship, one of the first things we did, well, COLE did, was scope out all the places to eat. If you are the parent of a teenage boy, you know why that is so important.Their appetites are unrelenting and hungry children=crabby children=bad vacation so this was of utmost importance.
So along with food, here are 6 awesome things about More >

0Casey and Cole on the dock at Castaway Cay
All ashore that’s going ashore!
Oh wow, how I wish I could wake up to this every morning. Day 2 of our voyage on The Disney Fantasy, found us preparing to go ashore to the private island, Castaway Cay (you can read about our Day 1 fun here). Cole had already warned me that he was not going to wake up early, not even ONCE on this trip, so I’d better be ready for that (um, okay). Instead his growling tummy did that for me. After a little bit of More >
The Mouse And Me: Sailing The Disney Fantasy.. Day 1
2Wooo-wee.. I finally slowed down long enough to tell you about a truly magical experience the kids and I had a few weeks ago. Remember I told you we had been invited to set sail on the brand, spanking new Disney Fantasy? Well it was a remarkable as I thought it would be.
You’ll recall I had attended a special, behind-the-scenes technology tour, getting an intimate peek into how it all happens. Then, the next day, I was fortunate enough to attend the Christening of The Fantasy, so setting sail More >
Where In The World Is Good Enough Mother… GOING?
1Hey everyone! The first quarter of the year is just about over and the breakneck pace that we started the year with here, shows no sign of letting up.
In about a week, the kids and I will be heading south in style on board the Disney Fantasy. You’ll recall I had the great fortune to sail on her sister ship The Disney Dream last year. Well, this ship is just as resplendent. I can’t wait for the kids to see it.
In April, I’m headed to Detroit to meet with some car companies (let’s talk safety

The Mouse and Me: Previewing The Disney Fantasy!

Remember a few days ago, I told you I had the pleasure of being on hand for the christening of The Disney Fantasy, the newest and fourth ship in the Disney Fleet. You can go here and read more about the party but let me tell you a little more about the ship herself. The Fantasy is the 130,000 ton sister vessel of The Disney Dream, which I sailed on last year. Well, I just found out that at the end of the month the kids and I are gonna be setting sail on The Disney Fantasy as well! I can’t More >
